As the lead agency of the Sub-Committee on Security, Traffic, and Communications, DILG-NCR together with the DILG Office of the Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs monitored the peace and order situation in Metro Manila before, during and after the inauguration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos, Jr. as the 17th President of the Republic of the Philippines.

During the five-day monitoring activity, DILG-NCR deployed duty officers to serve in the Multi-Agency Coordinating Center (MACC) located at the Binhi ng Kalayaan, Ermita, the City of Manila from June 27 to July 1, 2022.

During the inclusive period, the MACC monitored the peace and order situation in Metro Manila and continuously updated the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Plans and Programs of the DILG Central Office regarding issues that require appropriate action by concerned agencies.

Given the historical significance of the event, the DILG-NCR established an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at the National Capital Region (NCR), as well as a network of monitoring stations at its field offices and tasked the same to report and flag peace and order-related incidents and endorse the same to the concerned LGUs in the NCR.#
