In light of the DILG’s priorities and thrusts for CY 2022 and the challenges posed by the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the DILG-NCR’s Executives conducted a virtual interfacing with all its Project Officers on January 27, 2022, via Zoom.

The interfacing served as an avenue for the Project Officers to present to the DILG-NCR’s top management their respective plans of action for 2022.

The Project Officers provided recommendations for capacity building activities that may help them develop additional skills, as the region continues to adapt to the demands of effective local governance under the new normal.

Project Officers and their respective Program Managers from the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), Local Government Capacity Development Division (LGCDD), and the Office of the Regional Director (ORD) attended the activity.

Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, expressed her gratitude for the contributions of the Project Officers to the Department, citing that the DILG-NCR embraces every employee as part of the family, regardless of employment status.

“As we continue to navigate this new normal, it is our hope that you consistently collaborate and innovate among yourselves, so that we, as a DILG-NCR family, could further provide excellent capacity building activities and technical assistance to our local government units,” RD Agustin underscored.

Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn R. Baltazar-Cortez, CESO V, recognized all the Project Officers for their performance in their respective programs and for their unwavering support for the implementation of DILG-managed PPAs and COVID-19 monitoring activities.

“Rest assured that we have listened to your recommendations and we will find ways on how we may further capacitate you, as one of our partners in achieving the mission and vision of DILG-NCR.”

Currently, DILG-NCR has Project Officers for the following programs and operating units: Bantay Korapsyon (BK) Program; Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRP); Monitoring and Evaluation Assistance to Local Government Unit (MEALGU); Philippine Anti-Drug Abuse Strategy Program (PADS); Regional Information and Communication Technology Unit (RICTU); Resettlement Governance Assistance Fund Program (RGAF); Regional Peace and Order Council – National Capital Region Program (RPOC-NCR); and Strengthening Local Governments in the Philippines Program (SLGP).#
