RPOC-NCR conducted a webinar on DDB Board Regulation No. 2. on August 20, 2021, via Zoom Platform. Present in the webinar were representatives from DILG-NCR, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Bureau of Immigration, PDEA-NCR, and members of the Drug-Free Workplace Program Committee covering 40 jails in BJMP-NCR. Undersecretary Ricojudge Janvier M. Echiverri was also present as a special guest.

DDB Undersecretary Benjamin P. Reyes gave a comprehensive discussion on the salient features of the DDB Board Regulation No. 2, series of 2020.
In her opening remarks, RD Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, Regional Director of DILG-NCR, emphasized that the key to the successful implementation of the DDB regulation is continuous and comprehensive testing. She reminded everyone to recognize not just the criminal, but the bio-psycho-social aspects of drug use; towards this end, appropriate interventions should be allowed sufficient space to reform and rehabilitate drug users.
Representatives from the Bureau of Jail and Penology Management National Headquarters and NCR office, as well as the Bureau of Corrections, presented their accomplishments on interception of illegal drugs and other related activities against illegal drugs.
On the part of the BJMP National Headquarters, an overview of the illegal drug situation in jails was presented with specific reference to illegal drugs and other contraband items intercepted through various ongoing “Greyhound” operations. It also reported the status of jails covered by the MOA between BJMP and PDEA for the period of November 2017 to July 2021.#
