The Regional Awards Committee (RAC), composed of representatives from the DILG-NCR, Department of Justice (DOJ), National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) – NCR Chapter, and Catholic Relief Services, conducted onsite validations from April 21 to 25 for the Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA).

The validation took place across ten (10) barangays from the Municipality of Pateros, and the cities of Las Piñas, Navotas, Pasay, San Juan, Makati, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Malabon, and Quezon City.

This process enabled the RAC to directly evaluate Lupon members and assess the effectiveness of their approaches in amicably resolving disputes at the barangay level, adhering to the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) framework. Furthermore, the RAC identified areas for improvement and emphasized the importance of sustaining the gains achieved.

The Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA) is an annual nationwide program that celebrates and rewards Lupong Tagapamayapa (Lupon) for their exceptional performance. It specifically recognizes those Lupons that have demonstrated remarkable efficiency and effectiveness in putting the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) system into action. These outstanding Lupons are assessed based on several key factors, including: 1) Operational Efficiency, 2) Effectiveness in Achieving KP Objectives, 3) Creativity and Resourcefulness, 4) Adequacy of KP Facilities, and 5) Financial and Non-Financial Support.
