
DILG Secretary Juanito Victor C. Remulla attended the turnover ceremony of 41 electric police patrol vehicles, as well as the inauguration of a charging station held on April 25, 2025 at the ALERT Center, City Hall Complex, Barangay Malinta, City of Valenzuela. The said electric vehicles were procured by the City Government of Valenzuela under the FY 2024 Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU).
Welcoming the Secretary were Mayor Weslie T. Gatchalian, Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja, Philippine National Police Chief of the Directorial Staff PLGEN Edgar Alan O. Okubo, Chief of Valenzuela City Police PCOL Nixon M. Cayaban, and BYD Philippines Managing Director Mr. Bob Palanca. Also present during the ceremony were Senators Vicente “Tito” C. Sotto III and Sherwin T. Gatchalian.
Representing the DILG-NCR were Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn R. Baltazar-Cortez, CESO IV, DILG Valenzuela Field Officers headed by City Director Sudi G. Valencia, CESO V, and Local Government Capability Development Division Acting Chief Luigi D.C. Pilarta.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the City’s efforts not only to strengthen local law enforcement operations and enhance public service delivery, but also to champion sustainable transportation and promote greener, more efficient mobility across the Metro.
