The Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines – National Capital Region (VMLP-NCR) held its Regional Assembly Elections on July 11, 2025 at Sheraton Manila Hotel in Pasay City. 

Pursuant to the VMLP Constitution and By-Laws, DILG NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, chaired the VMLP-NCR Committee on Elections, together with the following: VMLP National Interim National President and Pinili, Ilocos Norte Vice Mayor Maynard R. Bumanglag, Boston, Davao Oriental Vice Mayor John Paul Lampig, and Corcuera, Romblon Vice Mayor Aubrey Fondevilla.

The election was a success with its new set of officials for Term 2025-2028, named as follows:

President – Hon. Angelo E. Agcaoili (San Juan)

Vice President – Hon. Carlo U. Santos (Pateros)

Secretary General – Hon. Anna Karina R. Teh-Limsico (Caloocan)

Treasurer – Hon. Antonio D. Suva Jr. (Mandaluyong)

Auditor – Hon. Romulo V. Pena Jr. (Makati)

Public Relations Officer – Hon. Del R. De Guzman (Marikina)

Board of Directors:

1. Hon. Arvin V. Alit (Taguig)

2. Hon. Edward C. Nolasco (Malabon)

3. Hon. Stephanie G. Teves-Wong (Muntinlupa)

4. Hon. Florencio C. Bernabe III (Paranaque)

In her message, RD Agustin mentioned that it is a pivotal moment for the VMLP to reaffirm its commitment to effective local legislation and strengthen the foundations of good governance across the region. 

The DILG-NCR highlighted its continued support to the league and remains steadfast to its commitment to providing capacity development initiatives and technical assistance for the local officials to meet the challenges of the evolving landscape of governance and to lead respective legislative bodies towards excellence.
