DILG-NCR held on December 15, 2021 its first PRAISE: PAGTANAW 2021 (or PAGpupugay sa mga nataTANging kAWani ng DILG NCR) Awarding Ceremony in recognition of exemplary performance by DILG-NCR employees. The ceremony honors both individuals and teams belonging to various operating units in the DILG-NCR Regional Office, as well as field offices across 17 local government units in NCR.
Prior to the start of the awards ceremony, the Local Government Capacity and Development Division made two presentations: the launch of the Center for the Advancement of Local Governance and the introduction of the âAngat Lokalâ brand which will be used in the communication campaign in support of the soon-to-be-implemented Mandanas-Garcia Ruling by the Supreme Court.
The PRAISE: PAGTANAW is designed to encourage innovation, efficiency, integrity, and productivity in public service. This yearâs honorees underwent a rigorous vetting process and set qualification criteria as determined by the PRAISE Committee. Any DILG-NCR employee can nominate a candidate for consideration.

The following honorees were recognized among small LGU field offices: DILG-Muntinlupa City (1st runner up) and DILG-Valenzuela City (Best DILG Field Office). Awardees for the big LGU field offices were: DILG-Caloocan City (1st runner up) and DILG-Quezon City (Best DILG Field Office).
The Leadership Award went to City Director Mary Jane SE. Nacario, CESO V of DILG-Valenzuela City.
Honorees in the Pagtanaw Awards are given incentives in the form of a plaque/trophy/certificates, monetary awards, compensatory time-offs, and personal growth opportunities.
In her message, RD Maria Lourdes L. Agustin CESO III revisited the major accomplishments in 2021 which were marked by innovation, extensive use of digital technology, and intensified capacity building activities. RD Agustin attributes these developments to the success of DILG-NCR operations across its many functional areas and programmatic interventions. In the end, the Regional Director pointed to the high degree of professionalism and competence of its human resources as the main driver behind DILG-NCRâs successes in 2021.
