The DILG National Capital Region Field Officers engaged in workshops focusing on Steps 1-3 of preparing the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) during the second day of the HRD PrE-NEO held today, June 17, 2025, at The Linden Suites, City of Pasig.

The session commenced with a refresher on the five (5) thematic sectors—social, economic, environment, infrastructure, and institutional—facilitated by LGOO V Patricia Rovie Q. Salamero, EnP of the DILG Manila Field Office. She also led the discussion on Steps 1 and 2, which covered organizing and mobilizing the planning team, as well as revisiting existing plans and reviewing the LGU vision.

Afterwards, LGCDD Assistant Chief Maria Jasmin D. Diaz presented the content and process of preparing the ecological profile, which serves as the main entry point for mainstreaming disaster risk reduction and management and climate change adaptation (DRRM-CCA). This was followed by a discussion on the Local Development Indicators System (LDIS) and Rationalized Planning Indicators and Data Sets (RaPIDS) led by LGOO III Mary Criselle B. Mejillano of LGCDD.

Attended by Cluster Heads and CDP Focal Persons, the four-day training aims to capacitate DILG-NCR Field Officers in providing effective technical assistance to LGUs on the local development planning process.
