The DILG National Capital Region received the Silver DILG Gender and Development Seal at the GAD Seal Recognition Rites held at the Sequioa Hotel on May 7, 2025. Recipients of the GAD Seal were recognized for its commitment in embodying RA 9710 across its core values, initiatives, internal systems, policies as well as in the provision of services. Receiving the Silver DILG GAD Seal for the DILG-NCR was Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III.

The GAD Seal Assessment examines the following criteria: (1) Institutionalization of the GAD Focal Point System, (2) Establishment of GAD Database, (3) GAD Corner, (4) Provision of GAD-related training or technical assistance, (5) Utilization of the 5% of the total Budget for GAD, (6) Establishment and Functionality of Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODAI), (9) Establishment of a Breastfeeding and child-minding station, and (8) conduct of GAD-related initiatives of best practices. 

The DILG National Capital Region stands as a steadfast advocate for the integration of gender and development principles, demonstrating unwavering commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable governance both within the institution and across the communities it serves.
