The Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) conducted a Regional Discourse on the Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) with the DILG Field Offices via Zoom last Thursday, May 11, 2023.
The SGLGB, which aims to give recognition to barangays that demonstrated exemplary performance across various governance areas, is expected to be rolled out for purposes of profiling the barangays subject of performance assessments for the year 2022.
LGMED Chief Raymond de Asis opened the said activity and thanked the Field Offices for their unwavering support notwithstanding the heavy workload brought about by the multiple audits cascaded to them within a tight timeframe.
SGLGB Focal Person LGOO III Ronald Portales discussed the process flow, the implementation schedule and other updates regarding the SGLGB program.
For her part, LGOO III Nicole Pama discussed the timeline within which clustered outputs are to be submitted and consolidated.
In the open forum that followed, Section Chief LGOO V Marda Alina R. Dumaoang-Acoba moderated the proceedings and addressed questions and concerns from the focal persons regarding the implementation of the SGLGB, which commenced in May 2023 and is expected to lead up to a culminating activity in December 2023.
