DILG-NCR Holds Operation Listo WEmboree for Metro Youth
In furtherance of LGUs’ mandate to ‘build the disaster resilience of communities’ as enshrined in Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, the Department of the Interior and Local Government-National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) held its “WEmboree: A Youth Disaster Resiliency Camp” on June 27-28 and July 4-5, 2015 at Sitio Lucia Resort in Sta. NCR Holds Awarding Ceremony for 2015 LTIA Regional Winners
The National Capital Region (NCR) conducts the search for the best Lupons among the 1,706 barangays as a way of sustaining the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) operations and to encourage innovations that will promote the indigenous conflict resolution at the barangay level. This is a joint program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) which seeks to give recognition to Lupons that showed exemplary performance in exercising the time-honored tradition of amicably settling disputes among barangay constituents.Read more...

RPOC-NCR holds first regular meeting for 2015 peace and order measures to be implemented in Metro Manila
The Regional Peace and Order Council – National Capital Region held its first regular meeting for CY 2015 on February 20, 2015 at the 9th Floor, City Government Offices, Taguig City to discuss peace and order issues affecting the region and measures to address them. Central to the Council’s discussion was the problem on illegal drugs. Relative to this, a number of measures have been proposed by Council Members. Taguig City Mayor, Hon. Maria Laarni Cayetano particularly proposed for the creation of a Regional Anti-Drug Abuse Council (RADAC) that would operate under the supervision of the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC). Such recommendation, however, shall be subject to further study by the RPOC Secretariat.Read more...
Training on Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Bottom-Up Budgeting Projects
“We have to build a mechanism of Results Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME)System in our PPAs”, said DILG-NCR Regional Director Brion in his message during the Training on Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation System for Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) Projects held last February 12-13, 2015 at the Eurotel Hotel, Quezon City.
