The Commission on Audit (COA) conducted its Exit Conference with the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG–NCR) on February 12, 2026 at the Matino Room of the DILG-NCR Regional Office in North Avenue, Quezon City, where only a minimal number of audit observations were presented. Representing DILG–NCR were Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III; Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn R. Baltazar-Cortez, CESO IV, and the Regional Division Chiefs.

All observations raised were strictly compliance-related, with no findings involving fraudulent acts. The Region welcomed the audit results with transparency and professionalism, affirming its commitment to immediately address the noted observations and implement the necessary corrective measures.

The outcome of the Exit Conference underscores DILG–NCR’s strong culture of fiscal discipline, accountability, and institutional integrity as the Region remains steadfast in strengthening its internal controls and governance mechanisms.

Moving forward, DILG–NCR is resolute in acting on all audit recommendations with urgency and precision, guided by its goal of achieving zero audit observations in 2026 and consistently upholding the highest standards of public service.
