The Project Development and Management Unit–National Capital Region (PDMU-NCR) strengthened its internal team alignment through a comprehensive discussion on policy updates, Project AGSIKAP, Subaybayani developments, and other key program deliverables during a meeting on August 13, 2026 at the 3rd Floor Conference Room of the DILG-NCR Regional Office. The meeting was attended by Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn Baltazar-Cortez, CESO IV, LGOO VI Assistant Division Chief Dennis R. de Paz, LGOO V Chief-of-Staff Mary Rose Bernadette Mabato, and was facilitated by the PDMU-NCR team, headed by LGOO V PDMU Chief Ronald R. Portales.
The meeting provided an avenue for the PDMU-NCR team to review and align on key policy directions, program updates, and operational priorities, ensuring that the Unit remains responsive to the evolving requirements of its various programs and initiatives.
Among the key discussions was the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Learning Society, which emphasized continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and strengthened collaboration among stakeholders involved in local project monitoring. The team also conducted a self-check on the regional performance of PDMU-NCR, providing an opportunity to assess accomplishments, identify areas for improvement, and reinforce accountability in the delivery of its commitments.
The PDMU-NCR likewise coordinated preparations for upcoming major activities such as the Project AGSIKAP and the LilHub Signing, ensuring that the necessary arrangements, coordination requirements, and respective responsibilities of team members were aligned in preparation for the upcoming activities. These preparations highlighted the Unit’s commitment to ensuring smooth implementation and effective coordination of its priority initiatives.
Updates on Subaybayani were also discussed, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Subaybayani Regional Validation. The discussion served as a venue to clarify expectations, align responsibilities, and ensure that the regional team is adequately prepared for the succeeding validation activities.
A significant component of the meeting was the individual discussion of deliverables among PDMU-NCR personnel. This allowed team members to present, clarify, and align their respective deliverables across the many programs being implemented and supported by the PDMU-NCR. Through this approach, the Unit was able to strengthen coordination, address concerns, and establish a clearer understanding of individual and collective responsibilities.
The activity underscored the DILG-NCR’s continuing commitment to effective program management, performance monitoring, and teamwork. By fostering open communication, coordinated preparation, and shared accountability, the PDMU-NCR continues to enhance its capacity to deliver responsive, coordinated, and results-oriented support to local government units and other stakeholders.
The discussions and agreements reached during the meeting are expected to guide the PDMU-NCR in carrying out its upcoming deliverables and ensuring sustained progress across its programs and initiatives.
With a shared commitment to excellence and a stronger sense of collective responsibility, the PDMU-NCR continues to move forward as one team that is aligned in purpose, accountable for results, and ready to turn plans into meaningful action. Through strengthened coordination on Project AGSIKAP, LilHub Signing preparations, Subaybayani, and other priority programs, the Unit reaffirms its commitment to responsive, effective, and results-driven public service.
More than aligning deliverables, the meeting strengthened a culture of collaboration and shared ownership, ensuring that every effort contributes to better project implementation, stronger partnerships, and more impactful outcomes for the communities served by DILG-NCR.
