The Public Affairs and Communications Service (PACS) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) commended the DILG National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) for its steadfast support and collaboration in the planning and implementation of the Department’s communication initiatives throughout 2025. Through its proactive engagement with NCR local government units, the PACS recognized the DILG-NCR’s role in amplifying national and regional campaigns, ensuring that key governance messages reached communities effectively and resonated at the grassroots level.

Notably, the Public Information Unit under the Office of the Regional Director of the DILG-NCR, played a key role in supporting PACS through its active participation in flagship communication initiatives. Under the Kapihan sa DILG series, the Public Information Unit facilitated the participation of local functionaries from the City of Parañaque as guest interviewees, enabling the public to gain firsthand insights into local governance initiatives and best practices. These engagements helped localize national policies and strengthened audience understanding of the Department’s programs at the grassroots level.

The DILG-NCR likewise provided critical support to the Police Visibility Interview Series, where the Public Information Unit assisted PACS in conducting interviews and surveys with students, residents, and local officials in the City of Manila. This initiative highlighted community perspectives on public safety and underscored the importance of police visibility and local collaboration in maintaining peace and order, further reinforcing the Department’s commitment to responsive and people-centered governance.

Through this strong partnership, PACS and DILG-NCR have successfully advanced the shared goal of bringing the Department’s services closer to the people, fostering greater public understanding, trust, and appreciation of the work of the DILG amid a fast-paced and constantly evolving media landscape.
