Unity took center stage as Mayors and Vice Mayors from the National Capital Region gathered under the 2025 NEO PLUS Program of the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) and the Local Government Academy (LGA) on August 8, 2025 at Conrad Manila, Pasay City.

The gathering marked a renewed commitment to work beyond boundaries—to rise together in solving Metro Manila’s pressing urban challenges, including traffic congestion, road regulation, flooding, waste management, and disaster risk reduction,

In a symbolic Pledge of Commitment led by Hon. Francisco Javier M. Zamora, President of Metro Manila Council and Mayor of the City of San Juan, the region’s leaders pledged to rise above political divisions and work together for responsive, strategic, and people-centered governance.

Through the pledge, the NCR Mayors and Vice Mayors collectively affirmed their support and vowed to uphold the principles of inter-LGU and intra-LGU collaboration, align local development priorities, and strengthen strategic coordination between national and local governments to promote efficient, innovative, and sustainable governance.

This unified stand sets the tone for a stronger, more dynamic, and inclusive Metro Manila—where leadership is anchored in collaboration and commitment to greater service for the people.
