Driven by people-centered legislation, eight (8) National Capital Region (NCR) Sanggunians distinguished themselves in the 2025 Local Legislative Awards (LLA), setting yet again a higher standard for public service and legislative innovation.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), together with the NCR’s Regional Awards Committee (RAC), commends the region’s top-performing Sanggunians for this year’s legislative assessment.

In this assessment cycle, four (4) cities, namely Makati City, Mandaluyong City, Quezon City, and Valenzuela City, secured first place, each obtaining a score of 99.5. The Sanggunians’ performance demonstrates strong legislative governance, improved systems, and policy measures that continue to benefit their constituents.

The first placers are followed by City of Pasig and San Juan City, which both earned 97.5, tying for second place. City of Caloocan achieved third place at 97 rating, further showing notable strides in strengthening legislative processes. Together, these Sanggunians exhibited remarkable improvement across the LLA indicators.

The RAC likewise commends the Municipality of Pateros, which obtained a rating of 93.75, qualifying it for the National Municipal Nomination. As NCR’s lone municipality, Pateros demonstrated substantial progress and innovation, standing proud alongside its city counterparts.

The DILG-NCR and the NCR RAC extend their congratulations to all Sanggunians recognized this year. The dedication, discipline, and drive for innovation continue to uplift the lives of NCR constituents and advance the region’s governance excellence in local legislation.
