The Joint Regional Task Force-National Capital Region (JRTF-NCR) successfully convened its 3rd Quarter Calendar Year 2025 Meeting on September 29, 2025 at Marco Polo Ortigas, Pasig City.  Representing DILG Secretary and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for NCR Juanito Victor C. Remulla was DILG Undersecretary Marlo L. Iringan, together with CORDS Head Secretariat DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III. 

In his opening address, Undersecretary Iringan officially called the meeting to order and emphasized the importance of alignment with national priorities in advancing peace and development in the National Capital Region. He underscored the implementation of the National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development (NAP-UPD) 2025–2028, urging all member agencies and local government units to ensure the harmonization of regional plans with national directives.

“Let us ensure that the plans we craft are not only implemented but also felt and valued by those we serve. Together, let us build a National Capital Region that truly embodies peace, prosperity, and resilience for all,” Usec. Iringan said.

The meeting featured insightful presentations and meaningful discussions focused on advancing strategic priorities in the region. Topics centered on enhancing peace and security, promoting unity and development, strengthening community engagement, and ensuring the effective implementation of national and regional plans. 

The Council recognized the importance of collaboration among key stakeholders in addressing emerging challenges, fostering inclusive governance, and building resilient, empowered communities. The presentations reinforced the collective commitment to uphold national integrity, safeguard public welfare, and pursue sustainable peace and development in the National Capital Region.

Before concluding the meeting, the Secretariat was tasked with drafting the approved resolutions and ensuring thorough documentation of discussions for proper implementation and monitoring.

The JRTF-NCR remains steadfast in promoting peace, unity, and inclusive development through collaborative efforts that strengthen community resilience and uphold national priorities.
