The Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), through its Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), successfully completed the 2026 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA), reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Katarungang Pambarangay implementation and promoting excellence in barangay-level conflict resolution across the region.

The 2026 LTIA Onsite Validation was conducted across seventeen (17) nominated barangays in the National Capital Region. The activity involved a comprehensive validation and documentary assessment of the nominated Lupong Tagapamayapa based on the criteria set forth under the LTIA Guidelines, including functionality, innovations, accomplishments, and records management.

Leading this year’s assessment was the Regional Awards Committee (RAC), chaired by DILG-NCR and composed of Senior Assistant State Prosecutors Marmarie P. Satin-Vivas and Gilmarie Fe S. Pacamarra of the Department of Justice – National Prosecution Service (DOJ-NPS); PLT Emily Jane Salanio and PCMS Joannaliza O. Pajota of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO); Deputy Program Manager Benjielyn N. Mendoza of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as Civil Society Organization representative; and Mr. Clarence Vargas representing the Liga ng mga Barangay.

The RAC likewise identified key areas for improvement to further enhance the efficiency and accessibility of the barangay justice system, particularly in strengthening documentation, compliance with prescribed procedures and continuous capacity development at the barangay level.

As the CY 2026 LTIA Final Deliberation officially concludes, DILG-NCR extends its sincere appreciation to all participating barangays, Lupong Tagapamayapa Members, and partner institutions for their collective efforts in strengthening grassroots justice systems and promoting peaceful dispute resolution in their respective communities.

This undertaking underscores DILG-NCR’s continuing commitment to uphold integrity, efficiency, and excellence in the implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay across the National Capital Region.
