To ensure fulfillment of the region’s commitments to the Department and in preparation of the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS), DILG-NCR leaders and key personnel came together to address concerns on fulfilling its Annual Operational Plan and Budget (AOPB).
The activity, held last August 8 and 10 brought together City Directors, Cluster Heads, Division Chiefs, Program Managers and Planning Officers of the 17 field offices to discuss the region’s action plan in reaching its AOPB targets, which include effective QMS implementation and ISO certification.
QMS is a system adopted by organizations which focuses on streamlining processes to ensure quality on the delivery of services to clients. ISO certification is given to organizations that are able to utilize the system effectively and efficiently in providing services.
DILG-NCR’s Performance, Information and Systems Management (PrISM) Section and Planning Unit led the discussion of the current status of the AOPB, and how DILG-NCR fared in the accomplishment of targets among DILG regional offices; and the implementation of the QMS. PrISMs has been tasked to lead in the efforts of the region in QMS.
The two-day meeting also became a venue to tackle issues and concerns on the implementation of its major programs – the Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anomalya, Mamamayang Ayaw sa Ilegal na Droga or MASA MASID, DILG’s main program on the fight against illegal drugs, and information and education campaign on Federalism.
DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes Agustin noted that the activity aims to harmonize efforts of the regional and field offices of the region, and find ways to ease the processes in accomplishing the region’s commitment to the Department.
“I am confident that DILG-NCR can surpass the expectations, as it always had. We have to continually work together as a family, as a united DILG-NCR to reach this goal as we always had. Let us be instruments in creating a Matino, Mahusay at Maaasahang DILG,” she noted.
