The Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) held its monthly Regional Team Conference (RTC) on July 28, 2026 at The Bhotel, Diliman in Quezon City. 

The Regional Team Conference served as a platform of strategic planning for the Second Semester of CY 2026. Notably, the DILG National Capital Region has in store programs that aims to contribute to the enhancement of resilience efforts of Metro Manila, particularly in the implementation Barangay Resilience Advocates Volunteer Group – Advanced Knowledge and Operations (BRAVE AKO) or the BRAVE AKO Training Program reaching more barangays for training, the establishment of the Metro Manila Resilience Hub, Quarterly Conduct of the Tangguyob Convergence of DRRM Thematic Pillars, and the establishment of Local Infrastructure Learning Hub or LILHubs across 17 Local Government Units. 

It also served as a venue to recognize accomplishments and assess challenges encountered by the Regional and Field Offices in the provision of capacity building programs and technical assistance to the Local Government Units. 

During the conference, DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, congratulated the Field Offices and Regional Operating Units for their unwavering commitment and dedication to delivering responsive, effective, and people-centered public service. She commended their continued efforts in upholding the core values of integrity, accountability, and excellence, emphasizing that their collective contributions have significantly strengthened the Department’s programs and initiatives in the National Capital Region.

“As we celebrate this significant milestone, today’s RTC  also provides us with an opportunity to revisit what we have accomplished during the first semester and to align ourselves with the priorities and targets for the remainder of the year, consistent with the direction of the Department.”

The conference likewise served as a celebration and tribute to City Director Alona R. Raymundo of the DILG Taguig Field Office, recognizing her distinguished career and 36 years of dedication to public service. The Office expressed its sincere gratitude for her exemplary leadership, steadfast commitment to good local governance, and invaluable contributions to the development of the LGUs she has been assigned.

Moving forward, DILG-NCR will continue to build on the gains and commitments established during the conference by strengthening partnerships, enhancing institutional capacity, and pursuing responsive programs that empower local governments to address emerging challenges effectively.
