The DILG-NCR successfully convened the 1st Semester Regional Management Coordinating Committee (RMCC) Meeting today, March 6, 2026, at the BJMP Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (MBAI) Corporate Office. Spearheaded by DILG-NCR Assistant Regional Director Atty. Ana Lyn R. Baltazar-Cortez, CESO IV, the session served as a strategic forum for harmonizing regional security and development initiatives.
The high-level meeting brought together key leaders of the interior sector, including BJMP-NCR Regional Director JCSUPT Baby Noel P. Montalvo, BFP-NCR Regional Director FSSUPT (Atty.) Archie R. Andumang, and NAPOLCOM-NCR Assistant Regional Director Edilberto P. PardiƱas. They were joined by ranking representatives from the NCRPO, including PCPT Jamel B Rinandang (RCADD), PCPT Joel Sison (Regional Operations Division), and PMAJ Benedict Sawey (NCR Police Training Center), to synchronize efforts on regional security and facility management.
The meeting culminated in a series of strategic agreements specifically designed to modernize service delivery and fortify public safety protocols throughout the National Capital Region. By synchronizing the efforts, the Committee established a unified framework to address long-standing infrastructural challenges and emergency preparedness. These measures represent a shift toward more integrated governance, ensuring that regional safety standards are not only maintained but consistently elevated to meet the evolving needs of the metropolis.
Central to the discussion was a high-priority commitment to optimizing existing government programs and assets. Rather than working in silos, the participating agencies agreed to a more collaborative resource-sharing model. This focus on operational efficiency ensures that every available resource, from personnel expertise to physical infrastructure, is leveraged to its maximum potential for the benefit of the public.
In her message, ARD Baltazar-Cortez mentioned that the synergy between the regional bureaus and offices serves as the backbone of a safer Manila. The agreements reached during the meeting ensure that the policies are not just reactive, but proactive in addressing the evolving needs of the communities, and the welfare of those in the care of the partner agencies.
The RMCC continues to serve as the primary platform for ensuring that local governance and public safety initiatives are seamlessly integrated, creating a more resilient and secure environment for all residents of the National Capital Region.
