The Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) conducted its second day of real-time monitoring of status and condition of the local government units (LGUs) across the region regarding the effects of Tropical Cyclone (TC) Inday on July 11, 2026.

The Regional Office, through its Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED),  continued its close coordination with the 17 Field Offices and concerned agencies within the region ensuring that collective efforts are being delivered to the public. 

LGMED Acting Chief Marda Alina R. Dumaoang-Acoba, representing DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, reported the status and update of actions undertaken by the LGUs over the past few days, during the Regional Inter-Agency Coordinating Cell (RIACC) Meeting at the MMDA New Building, Pasig City on July 11, 2026. The report includes updates on class and work suspensions, the updated Disaster Online Reporting and Monitoring System (DORMS), preemptive evacuation efforts, and Management of Dead and Missing (MDM) LGU resources, among others.

Tropical Cyclone Inday officially exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on July 11, 2026, at 8:20 AM, as reported by the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-PAGASA) during the RIACC Meeting. Further, the weather bureau stated that the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of TC Inday shall have strong to gale-force gusts in several areas of the country including Metro Manila. This will bring a rainfall amount ranging from 50-100 mm,  resulting in localized flooding mainly in areas that are urbanized, low-lying, or near rivers. 

The DILG-NCR maintains its monitoring and close coordination with LGUs and other partners to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective public service, aligning with the Department’s mandate of promoting safe, adaptive, and disaster-resilient communities.
