The Department of the Interior and Local Government–National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) concluded its Cluster 2 consultation with the local governments of Quezon City, Marikina City, Pasig City, and San Juan City on September 7, 2026, at the Luxent Hotel, Quezon City. As the final cluster consultation under the Local Government Code Review and Amendment Program (LGC RevAmP), the activity brought together LGU functionaries from various offices to share local experiences, perspectives, and recommendations on the continuing review and reform of the Local Government Code of 1991.

The consultation marks another step toward shaping a more responsive, inclusive, and futures-ready Local Government Code, with the upcoming Regional Conference providing a venue to reflect on the collective findings and reform directions emerging from the NCR consultations. The recommendations gathered through the cluster consultations will be consolidated into proposed amendments to the Local Government Code and a DILG-NCR policy brief, providing evidence-based inputs to the continuing LGC reform process.
