In support of a whole-of-society approach in disaster preparedness and resiliency in local health systems, the DILG-NCR, with the presence of esteemed Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, supported the Catholic Relief Services – Philippines’ Private Sector Forum (PSF) under the Strengthening Communities’ Preparedness to Mitigate Health Risk during Emergencies (PRIME) Project last February 1, 2026, at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Quezon City.

In her keynote message, RD Agustin emphasized that similar activities, such as the PSF reflects a growing realization that disaster resilience is not just a sole responsibility of the government, nor can it be achieved by one sector alone, because it is and must be a collective endeavor by everyone.

The activity served as a platform for the City of Pasig and the Municipality of Pateros through their Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and Health Offices to foster dialogue, trust-building, collaboration, and the co-creation of practical solutions with the Private Sector and in rallying support from National Government Agencies in strengthening their disaster resilience and health systems.

The DILG-NCR, as one of CRS Philippines’ trusted and committed partners in disaster risk reduction and management, continues to support and collaborate on initiatives and measures that will advance unity and congruence in actions that will have a lasting and significant impact on communities in Metro Manila.
