To reinforce the operations of its Field Offices, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), conducted a visit to the DILG Manila for a compliance alignment on September 18, 2025 (Thursday) at the Manila City Hall.

The activity was led by DILG-NCR Regional Director Maria Lourdes L. Agustin, CESO III, together with LGMED officers LGOO VI Marlon Clyde Camilon and LGOO III Rex Alec Naldo. The alignment provided a platform to present the current status and trends of compliance of the Manila Field Office on the different programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) of the Department.

Key areas of compliance discussed include the KALINISAN Weekly Clean-up, Barangay Information System, Barangay & SK Full Disclosure Policy, and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) initiatives. These efforts are in direct coordination with the barangays and align with the city’s priorities on local transparency, environmental management, and peace & order.

Representing the DILG Manila Field Office were City Director Marco Augusto G. Cabueños Jr. and the complete roster of Manila Field Officers, who manage DILG operations in Manila and across all 896 barangays in the city. The activity was also held in conjunction with the Field Office’s monthly Team Conference.

In her message, RD Agustin stated the importance of each office’s contribution to the region’s collective performance.

“Every action you take, or choose not to take, has an impact on the Region and the quality of services we deliver to the public,” she remarked, urging full compliance across all monitored indicators

Importantly, the alignment also served as an avenue to raise and address operational needs. Field Officers shared logistical concerns, to which RD Agustin committed to support for continued effective service delivery and quality public service.

City Director Cabueños, in closing, affirmed the DILG Manila Field Office’s oath to increase compliance levels across all barangays within the next two months.

This interfacing is envisioned to be the first of many alignment meetings between the Regional Office and Field Offices, para sa pagpapanday ng isang Matino, Mahusay, at Maaasahang Kagawaran.
