In a collaborative effort to strengthen local governance, infrastructure oversight, and inter-agency synergy, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), through the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU), convened Key Partner Agencies for the LPMC Learning Society on May 14, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Conference Room, DILG-NCR.

The final coordination meeting brought together key representatives from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), Department of Budget and Management – National Capital Region (DBM-NCR), Department of Public Works and Highways – National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR), and DILG – Office of Project Development Services (DILG-OPDS). 

The LPMC Learning Society serves as a unified and structured capacity development initiative aimed at strengthening LPMCs across the region. The coordination meeting consolidated recommendations from stakeholders to ensure that all inputs are coherent, integrated, and responsive to the operational and current needs of LPMCs.

During the discussion, partner agencies collectively finalized the proposed module topics and refined the core structure of the overall design and implementation framework. Key agreements included the designation of resource persons for each learning module, alongside initial planning for the pilot implementation, and official rollout of the initiative. 

The inter-agency dialogue succeeded in clarifying roles and responsibilities, establishing a framework of shared accountability for the initiative’s sustainable success. Aligning the distinct expertise of each partner agency guarantees a holistic approach to local project monitoring and evaluation. 

Highlighting the importance of sustained collaboration, Regional Director Agustin underscored that the success of the initiative also depends on the collective commitment of stakeholders. 

“The strengthening of LPMCs cannot be achieved by one office or agency alone, but through the shared efforts and continuous coordination among all stakeholders involved. The support of each one of you is instrumental in transforming this initiative into a sustainable and impactful program for our region,”  RD Agustin stated.

Through this fortified partnership, DILG-NCR and its partner agencies reaffirmed their collective commitment to promoting a more responsive, coordinated, and capacity-driven approach to local project monitoring. The official roll-out of the LPMC Learning Society among NCR LGUs is set for July 2026.
