Continuing its commitment in providing decent and safe housing for informal settler families, DILG-NCR has awarded the cities of Parañaque and Pasay P90 million each for the construction of micro-medium rise buildings (MMRBs).
The amount was sourced from the Local Government Unit Financial Assistance (LGUFA), under the Oplan LIKAS or “Lumikas para Ligtassa Kalamidad at Sakit” program initiated during the time of President Benigno Aquino III, that aims to relocate informal settler families (ISFs) living in danger zones to safe areas.Read more: Parañaque, Pasay gets P90M for MMRB

An orientation-workshop on the formulation of LGUs’ septage and sewage management ordinance (SSMO) has been conducted by DILG-NCR as part of its advocacy of strengthening LGUs capabilities in environment protection.
The activity, which is part of the region’s Manila Bay Clean-up and Rehabilitation Program (MBCRP), brought together concerned institutions, and agencies to discuss current status of the septage and sewerage systems in LGUs, highlighting the importance of the presence of a SSMO.Read more: SSMO formulation workshop for LGUs held
