Mandaluyong launches Masa Masid

DILG Mandaluyong Field Office, in cooperation with the City Government of Mandaluyong launched the Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Anoalya, Mamamayang Ayaw Sa Iligal na Droga o Masa Masid last November 21.

The activity, which was attended by key city officials, inter-faith, and volunteer groups, commenced the celebration of the Drug Prevention Week in Mandaluyong.

QC holds Masa Masid Orientation and Action Planning

To intensify Quezon City’s anti-illegal drug campaign, DILG Quezon City Field Office, together with the Quezon City Anti-Drug Abuse Advisory Council (CADAAC), inter-faith groups and volunteers led the MASA MASID District Based Orientation and Action Planning.

Masa Masid or Mamamayan Ayaw Sa Anomalya Mamamayan Ayaw Sa Iligal na Droga is a DILG program that highlights the role of communities in the fight against corruption, criminality and illegal drugs.

DILG-NCR leads Regulatory Simplification Conference

Batting for the creation of a business-friendly environment in LGUs in the region, DILG-NCR spearheaded a conference to push for the streamlining of business processes in localities. 

Held last November 15, the Regulatory Simplification Conference brought together key local officials from the 17 LGUs and experts from different national government agencies to initiate an exchange of ideas for the creation of sound business policies, starting with the simplification of business licensing and processing.

BNEO Online Portal launched in San Juan

The 21 barangays of San Juan City were chosen as pilot LGUs for the online platform of the Barangay Newly-Elected Officials (BNEO) Program. 

BNEO Online is a term-based capacity intervention program for newly elected barangay officials envisioned to help barangay officials understand and effectively fulfil their roles and responsibilities. 

Under the portal, courses developed by experts on different facets on local governance can be virtually attended by newly-elected Punong Barangays; resource materials can also be downloaded in the portal.  

Funded and developed through the support of the Local Government Academy (LGA), the training arm of the DILG, BNEO Online is envisioned to make capacity development for barangay officials easier as access is made convenient.
